چکیده

A Cu2+/l-cysteine bilayer-coated microcantilever undergoes bending upon exposure to dimethyl methyl phosphonate at concentration as low as 10-15 M due to the complexation of a phosphonyl group with the Cu2+/l-cysteine bilayer on the microcantilever surface.

Detection of femtomolar concentrations of HF Using an SiO(2) microcantilever.

Femtomolar concentrations of hydrogen fluoride, a decomposition component of nerve agents, were detected using a SiO(2) microcantilever. The microcantilever underwent bending due to the reaction of HF with SiO(2). The microcantilever deflection increased as the concentration of HF increased. Other acids, such as HCl, had no effect on the deflection of the cantilever. The mechanism of reaction-i...

Sensitive and selective detection of cysteine using gold nanoparticles as colorimetric probes.

We report herein the development of a highly sensitive and selective colorimetric detection method for cysteine using gold nanoparticles probes. This assay relies upon the distance-dependent optical properties of gold nanoparticles, the self-assembly of cysteine on gold nanoparticles, and the interaction of a 2:1 cysteine/Cu2+ complex. In the presence of Cu2+, cysteine could rapidly induce the ...

New Coated Graphite Potentiometric Sensor for Selective Determination of Copper (II) Ions

A highly selective copper (II) coated graphite sensor was prepared by 1,13-bis(8-quinolyl)- 1,4,7,10,13-pentaoxatridecane (kryptofix 5) as a supramolecule ionophore into plasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) membrane. The best response characteristic was observed using the membrane composition of PVC = 30.0 mg, dioctyl sebacate (DOS) = 63.5 mg, palmitic acid (PA) = 3.0 mg and kryptofix 5 = 3.5 m...

Detection of CrO4(2-) using a hydrogel swelling microcantilever sensor.

Hydrogels containing various mounts of tetraalkylammonium salts were used to modify microcantilevers for measurements of the concentration of CrO4(2-) in aqueous solutions. These microcantilevers undergo bending deflection upon exposure to solutions containing various CrO4(2-) concentrations as a result of swelling or shrinking of the hydrogels. The microcantilever deflection as a function of t...

L- and D-cysteine functionalized CdS quantum dots as nanosensors for detection of L-morphine and D-methamphetamine

A new method in differentiation of chiral molecules is reported based on the fluorescence quenching of functionalized CdS quantum dots (CdS-QDs) as nanosensor by differing in the chirality of functionalization species. The chemically functionalized CdS-QDs with strong yellow emission were prepared using chiral L-cysteine (L-Cyst) and D-cysteine (D-Cyst) molecules. Then, the functionalized CdS-Q...
